Counterstain on mouse tissue

What do you use for counterstain on mouse tissue selctions (FFPE or cryo)?
In our hands, Ir 191/193 works not as good as on human tissue sections, but the signal is okayish. Using Histone H3 gives a cytoplasmic signal... Should we try RuO4?

I highly recommend RuO4,
It is easy and fast and we know that people from other labs have adopted it without problems.

Best regards,
